Cruise Kids

Back in October, I was contacted by Karen from ‘My Bubba Box’ to talk about rebranding her business. She’d come across my work in a Facebook group and thought my style would work well with hers. Her business had grown so much in the last three years and she was ready to take it to the next stage with a name change and a consistent brand. ⠀

I was blown away by her beautiful products and her passion for quality customer service. She booked in the job, I did a happy dance and we got to work. ⠀

In our deep dive discovery session, the concept of toys as art kept coming up. She sources her products from European countries and ensures they are top quality. While they’re practical and ready for play, her toys are so beautiful and very ‘Instagrammable’. ⠀

So we played with this idea and I came up with these shapes from a photograph she sent me with wooden blocks on a shelf. We went with a muted pastel colour palette to show the range the brand caters for. We used a simple clean sans serif typeface that is round and friendly. And we created the most beautiful little patterns. We both kept falling in love with it more and more as we went down the path of creating all the bits and pieces.⠀

This brand reveal feels bittersweet for me. I’m so excited to launch it out into the world, but it also means the process is over. I work so closely with my clients on creating their brand, I get a little emotional when it’s over! ⠀

Karen, thank you for trusting me with this massive change for your business. I know it would not be easy to take that leap of faith. But I am oh so glad you did. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you and bringing your brand to life.

Everybody, welcome to the branding for Cruise Kids.
