Something special for the Domestic Violence Action Centre

Having worked at the police service for fours years, domestic violence was something I worked closely alongside. I worked on some truly horrific jobs that will stay with me for a very long time. DV prevention and crisis care quickly became a cause close to my heart.

So when some women from the Domestic Violence Action Centre in Toowoomba purchased my art prints as a gift for their colleague, they told me about their work and I asked if there was anything I could do for the centre. They said they would love some new pieces for their office and their waiting room to lift the space.

So today I was so generously welcomed with an afternoon tea and flowers when I handed over these four pieces. It was such an honour to hear about the work they do in the community and to be welcomed so lovingly. I take my hat off to them for everything they do. I can’t even begin to imagine.

A massive thank you to Gayle’s Framing in Toowoomba who were so kind in donating their time and materials to frame these pieces.

And please think of the Domestic Violence Action Centre for your next fundraiser. They are truly a beautiful bunch of people doing incredible work.
