November moodboard: Red Earth

Ok November! Where did that come from? To be honest, I’m a little sad to say goodbye to the ‘nudeboard’. I had so much fun with the theme and so many people reached out to me about it. I’m so proud that it opened up some very real conversations and saw my partnership with Nuni Wellness to design a self check breast guide. ⠀

But onto November! Yes I’m a bit late for this month’s moodboard. It’s been a busy week with client work, but I’m sticking to this because it inspires my personal work while also attracting dream client projects my way. ⠀

I’m titling this month’s moodboard ‘Red Earth’. These visuals were everywhere on my recent road trip to Charleville, eight hours west, to visit my gorgeous grandparents. ⠀

My trip was full of red earth, blue skies, royal blue road signs and pesky green cacti running rampant with little pink flowers. ⠀
⠀
We live in such a beautiful country so this month I decided to take inspiration from these sights and turn it into some design pieces. ⠀

Unfortunately though, this beautiful country is full of natural disasters. ⠀
⠀
The people of the west are facing one of the worst droughts they have ever seen. Rural towns are quite a sad place to be at the moment, with despair lingering in the air. However, country people are incredibly tough and resilient. ⠀

So this month they will be my inspiration for my personal projects. I’m also aiming to create a brand to go with each month’s moodboard. I’m thinking this month’s brand may be a cafe called ‘Hardy’s’ or maybe a fashion label with a country twist. I’m still thinking on this one but would love suggestions. ⠀
