Billy Skincare
I have always found that passion projects attract like work.
So I created ‘Billy Skincare’, a brand designed to protect women against the harsh Australian elements.
Redefining the ‘hillbilly’ stereotype, the brand celebrates the resilience and strength of rural women.
I created the logo with handwriting to make it feel like a bestie sitting on your bathroom counter, ready to support you.
The textures represent the elements, earth, red dirt, rain, storms, clouds and dust storms. I’ve used blue calming colours for the cleansers and mists, and warm colours for the moisturisers and oils.
I also included an illustrated waratah as an extra branding touch to speak to the unique Australian flora and toughness of rural women.
The brand is gritty yet feminine. Calming yet warm. Accessible but elegant.
