September moodboard: Nineties niceties

Oh hello children of the 90s

Welcome to September’s mood.

Nostalgia has got me good right now and I’m loving everything that I remember dressing up in as a child. So I wanted to bring the 90s to my monthly mood for the September to inspire my new patterns for my pattern library and my monthly content shoot.

This month’s moodboard is filled with animal print, vibrant primary colours, geometric shapes, baby blues and soft pinks, Hawaiian hibiscus flowers, paisley and butterflies. Think pop culture icons like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Clueless and the Spice Girls. The ’90s were all about experimenting and throwing the rules out the window.  And I want to do just that.

My patterns this month will be my own spin on these trends. A little touch of Heidi Lou flavour on this iconic era. I want to create lots of different things and to stand out from the crowd. So watch this space.

And then I just had my monthly photo shoot yesterday. This is a chance to build my modelling portfolio, use my creativity and collect content for the month ahead. Wait until you see what we came up with!
