This is for the woman who is going through a slow period in her business. ⠀

This was me around October last year. I was hearing crickets. My quotes weren’t getting accepted. I was doing graphic design work that I had underquoted for so I was basically working for free. I was getting so worried and even had thoughts of giving it all up to find full time employment. ⠀

If this is you right now, just keep going. Work on your systems and processes. Do those tasks you’ve been meaning to. Create work that will attract your dream work. Learn. Brainstorm new ideas. Hire a coach. Apply for grants and scholarships. Get out there and talk to people about your business. ⠀

Don’t panic and offer discounts. Don’t take on work that doesn’t align with what you’re after. ⠀
⠀
The work will come. The orders will come.⠀
⠀
Trust me. The universe rewards a believer and a hard worker. ⠀
⠀
And the future busy you will be grateful that you set the wheels in motion and got everything in order. ⠀

Yesterday I had four new enquiries in one day! And then another today. I’m booked out until March. And I have bookings in my calendar until June. I’m not saying it will be like this forever. I know I will probably go through slower periods again. But I will use that time to readjust and refocus.

Sometimes these things happen for a reason. Sometimes they are a blessing in disguise. Use it wisely. Stop and smell the roses. Breathe. ⠀
