January moodboard: Juicy

This month’s mood, the first mood for 2022, is ‘Juicy’. 

I made my word of the year ‘fruitful’. I always pick a new word each year and it kind of acts as a prism for every decision I make that year, and a lens to view everything though. 

Last year I chose the word ‘play’, and I really dabbled in many different areas. I said yes to new experiences. I went on trips. I met new people. I learnt surface pattern design, worked on many different art and design projects and even tried my hand at a few modelling gigs. It was fun to try different things and figure out where I want to go. 

I’ve worked really hard in my business for the last three years and now I feel like I have a really clear vision on where Heidi Lou Design is going. And it feels like it’s all been leading up to this year. 

So I chose the word ‘fruitful’ because I’ve planted the seeds, and now I feel like the fruit will ripen. I feel like I will reach my goals and see the fruits of my labour. Things are falling into place. 

So this month’s moodboard centres around this theme. The Juicy mood for the month will be carried through in surface pattern designs I create for my library, the photographs I post this month and the content I share with you.
